Join me at the upcoming opening of Suds and the City: The Un-canny Handiwork of Dorrie Rifkin to get a first look at my most ambitious (and, I think, unique) project to date!
My larger-than-life giclee print (a super-high-quality fine art digital print) synthesizes 99 + 1 bottles of beer on the wall – 100 separate paintings! – into a unified image so big that the frame is barley capable of containing the excitement that hops off the canvas.
To create the gigantic 60” x 40” giclee poster serving as centerpiece for the show, over three years I systematically painted 100 different beer bottles in my sketchbooks, and then seamlessly “quilted” together this array through the magic (wrought of craftsmanship) of Photoshop.
In addition to the Suds, I’ll also be displaying lots of my newest original watercolor cityscapes, and glicee prints of many of my favorite and most sought-after paintings — the originals of which have been sold.
Suds in the City will be featured in the gallery of harvey & DOT, a cutting-edge Westwood, NJ, based business integrating interior design, home furnishing, and quality printing.
Opening: Thursday, January 14, 2016
Time: 7 PM – 9 PM
Place: harvey & DOT, 316A Kinderkamack Rd.Westwood, NJ 07675
